SAP SD (Sales and Distribution) is one of the of SAP ERP (Enterprise). It looks over to the information regarding customer and services such as selling, shipping, transportation of goods and services. For a simple example if one wants to purchase a vehicle from the automobile company, first a customer will inquire about the product. The company SD unit will take the inquiry and provide with the quotation for the same. Then the customer gives a purchase order which is the sales order for the company.
When a company delivers the product, after the confirmation of the customer, it raises the invoice. Then the transaction of the sales takes place in the finance department of the company. SAP SD is specially designed to facilitate such business processes in an enterprise which are -
